The Schoolhouse™ Rental

My restored Schoolhouse home is surrounded by private gardens, gets beautiful sunshine and sits at the top of the hill above the village of Point Reyes Station – just a 5 minute walk away from the shops and farmer’s market. It features a gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs, 1 bedroom with private bath downstairs. There is an all-glass sun room, a garden room with easy chairs and game table, two fireplaces, full Wi-Fi throughout, an upright baby grand piano, a naturalist’s library and laundry.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2 baths; 1 bedroom downstairs with its own private bath.

Upstairs are the Master Bedroom suite, with private shower bath, fireplace opposite the bed, and large viewing deck looking out to the sunset and Point Reyes.
The two other bedrooms upstairs have one with two twins and 1 queen bed. They both have beautiful views and share a bath with hand shower.

The downstairs bedroom has 1 Queen with a private bath and the laundry.

The furnished patio wraps around three sides of the Schoolhouse with a hand built pizza/bread baking oven and a Weber barbeque. There is seating for 10 at the outside tables, chaise lounges and a garden chair swing. Large plum trees arch over the patio for dappled shade in the summer. Song birds nest and sing in the garden trees, including mourning doves.

Couches, easy chairs with reading lamps, and an antique desk and chair make the downstairs very comfortable. The ground floor is an open floor plan that includes the living room, sun room, dining area, kitchen and garden room.

The home will comfortably sleep 8 but is probably not appropriate for children under 6 years because of the pond, (please inquire for special circumstances.)

Sorry, dogs are not allowed in my Schoolhouse because of the fine rugs and hand made furniture.

Older youngsters may safely walk down the path to town in five minutes to visit the bakery, book store, grocery, library, Toby’s Feed Barn, bicycle ren
